p325: "Abul Fazl mentions that the year 1583 experienced a famine and the prices of things rose very high. Unfortunately no details of the calamity are on record. In his cryptic statement Abul Fazl says that "as prices were high on account of the dryness of the year, the means of subsistence of many people came to an end."
